Bristow Walks Around the World!

The message is simple for the more than 1,100 participants of Bristow (that is almost 1/3rd of the total population!)  Individuals are challenged to walk across Oklahoma along Route 66.  That is only 1.1 miles a day or about 17 minutes of walking each day.  The group goal:  Walk Around the World.  That is 24,397 miles.  The challenge is how many times can the community circle the earth.  Participants will keep track of their miles and monthly events will keep people motivated.  The Bristow Public School geography classes will post the miles on a world map and learn about the different cultures in the various areas of the world.  Local businesses including Kwikset and all 39 of the local churches are an integral part of the campaign.
